Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Games Played Well apps (Android and iOS).

Short version

Games Played Well doesn't collect your data. There's no account, no login, and no analytics — the app runs entirely on your device. The only outside party involved at all is Apple or Google, and only when you choose to buy an Information Pack.

What the app does locally

Every game, rubric score, and note you see is stored in a local database on your device, created the first time you open the app. Nothing you do in the app — browsing games, filtering, activating or deactivating a pack — is transmitted anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes this data.

What we (the developer) collect

Nothing. Games Played Well has no server, no account system, and no analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind. We have no way to see how you use the app, what device you have, or who you are.

Purchases (Information Packs)

Optional Information Packs are bought through Apple's App Store or Google Play Billing — the platform's own in-app purchase system. When you buy a pack:

  • The purchase itself — your payment method, billing details, transaction history — is handled entirely by Apple or Google, under their own privacy policies (Apple's Privacy Policy, Google's Privacy Policy). Games Played Well never sees your payment information; it only receives a purchase confirmation, which it uses to unlock that pack's games locally on your device.
  • No purchase or account data is sent to us. We don't operate a backend that store billing reports to.

Permissions

Games Played Well requests no meaningful device permissions — no location, no contacts, no storage access, no network access declared by the app itself beyond what the platform's own purchase system requires to communicate with the App Store or Play Store app already installed on your device.

Children's privacy

Games Played Well is a tool for parents to evaluate games before deciding whether their kids should play them — it is not directed at children, and (per everything above) collects no data from anyone, child or adult.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be posted at the same URL. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's store listing.
